How My Sugar Free Recipes Protect Your Teeth, And Are Even Safe For Diabetics!

Do you know what my favorite candy was, before I couldn't have sugar? "Mike and Ike's".

I ate them by the box. Actually, by the dozen of boxes. I remember one time, on a trip down to Arizona, I bought 14 Boxes of Mike and Ike's.

14 Boxes! You see, up in Canada our candy isn't so cheap. So when I saw such a deal, I thought I would buy each box for a dollar (A steal) and then I could save them for when I got home to Canada.

Except when it came to the saving part, I kind of messed up. I ate them all in a matter of days!

And now that my body cannot handle sugar very well (Hmmm...I wonder why!), I need to get my fill somehow. And I'll bet you feel the same way, don't you?

But before I get to the amazing, tasty recipes that I have cooked up for you, let's take a deeper look into candy, shall we?

What is Candy?

I think most people can think of examples of candy. If I were to try, I would think of things like:

For the purposes of organization, I will not be including Chocolate or Fudge in the Candy section, I have created specific sections for those recipes.
  • Caramel candy
  • Toffee
  • Gumdrops
  • Jelly beans
  • Rock candy
  • Lollipops
  • Taffy
  • Cotton candy
  • Candy canes
  • Peppermint sticks
  • Peanut brittle

Now if you have eliminated sugar from your diet, then you know you probably will never have any of those types of things again...

...right?

WRONG!

As impossible as it may seem (Seeing as though candy is made up of 80-100% sugar) to make sugar-free candy, if you live by my sugar free philosophy, you can make almost anything sugar free!

What is my philosophy?

"If you understand the basics of any ingredient or food item, you can then substitute each and every part you can't eat, until you have created a safe, alternative recipe".

As usual, I will be using Sugar Substitutes such as Agave Nectar, Erythritol, and Stevia to replace the sugar.

And the rest...

...Is Sweeter than you think.
