This Adapted Sugar Free Apple Pie Recipe Is A Wicked-Awesome Dessert For Any Holiday Occasion

This adapted sugar free apple pie recipe is one of the best ones to ever come around. I was certainly surprised when my mom made me this and it tasted absolutely fabulous...yet safe for diabetics!

Allergy Information:

Sugar-Free

Peanut-Free

Dairy-Free

Soy-Free



The Recipe:

  • 1 recipe pastry for a 9 inch double crust pie
  • 1/2 a cup of unsalted butter
  • 3 tablespoons of all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup of water
  • 8 peeled, cored, and sliced apples.
  • 1 cup of Agave Nectar



Instructions:

1.

Preheat oven to 425 degrees F

Melt the butter in a saucepan at medium heat. Stir in flour to form a paste. Add water, and Agave Nectar, and bring to a boil. Reduce the temperature and let simmer.

3.

Place the bottom crust in your pan. Fill with apples. Cover with a criss-cross of strips of crust. Gently pour the melted mixture over the crust. Pour slowly so that it does not run off.

4.

Bake 15 minutes in the preheated oven. Reduce the temperature to 350 degrees F and Continue baking for about 40 minutes or until the apples are soft.

5.

Remove and let cool. Now eat!


Seriously, this is a really amazing recipe, and it's not even too difficult to make. Try it!
