My 5 Best Christmas Gift Ideas

(For The Sugar-Impaired, And For Those Who Just Love To Bake!)

Best Christmas Gift Ideas #1: Baked Goods Package

If there are any more traditional best Christmas gift ideas than a baked goods basket, let me know. This is about as basic as you can possibly get for baked goods, but it's still classy (and enjoyed by anyone).

If you are baking for someone who has a limited diet (Sugar-free, Gluten-Free, etc.), then this type of gift is greatly appreciated. As someone who has many food sensitivities, I can't tell you how good it feels when someone bakes me a treat that I CAN EAT!

It's fantastic! Knowing that I don't have to worry about what's in the food (Because someone loved me enough, and cared enough to make me these wonderful baked goods).

My Sugar Free Christmas Cookie Recipe can help you make a base for your basket. Although make sure that if you decide to use a cream cheese icing for them that you refrigerate them. If you use normal icing, then no refrigeration required!

I recommend wrapping the basket up in clear Cellophane Basket Bags . Once they are wrapped up, tie a pretty bow on top and you'll have a fantastic little basket.

Best Christmas Gift Ideas #2: Homemade Snowman Package

Most sugar free people aren't used to being able to have a fantastic hot chocolate whenever they want. So why not give it to them for Christmas?

The snowman package consists of:

  • A White Coffee Mug
  • Pure Cocoa (No Sugar Added)
  • Agave Nectar or Erythritol

So no, it doesn't actually look like a snowman. The idea is that the white mug is similar to a snowman (I suppose because it's round?). I'm sure someone could have come up for a better name for this, but I'm going to chalk it up to the fact that it needs to be related to Christmas somehow!

Just put all the ingredients in the cup (packaged), and wrap it up (again with Cellophane Basket Bags ) and tie a card to the top.

Think about how happy your loved one will be knowing that they can make hot chocolate that they want at any time.

You could also give out the hilarious Snowman poo (It's just marshmallows)

You will want to be creative when wrapping up each separate ingredient. Obviously you don't want just loose chocolate (and definitely not loose Agave Nectar) floating around in the cup. The point is that the snowman cup can be used at any time. Hopefully within the next few months.

Just as with the baking, this type of gift means much more to someone who has a limited diet. It feels good knowing that you can splurge and eat something delicious (without having to 'pay for it' later).

Now these first 2 gifts were some homemade creations mainly for people who have intolerances. But what gifts can we get for the bakers/chefs in the family?

That's what our next 3 best Christmas gift ideas are about!

Best Christmas Gift Ideas #3: Pampered Chef Mini Measure-All Cup

This "all cup" is a great (SUPER CHEAP) little invention. It's basically an adjustable measuring cup.

Although there's not much trouble when measuring liquids with a normal multi-cup measuring cup, doing things like butter can sometimes be a bit different.

This one adjusts not only to full-cup amounts, but also measures in tsp, ml, and cups.

A great stocking stuffer for sure! You can pick it up at Amazon.com here..

Best Christmas Gift Ideas #4: Kitchen Aid Classic Mixer

For the more important bakers on your list, I often use the Kitchen Aid Classic Mixer. This is a fantastic mixer, and I guarantee you would never have to buy one.

My mom loves hers, my girlfriend loves her, my sister-in-law adores hers as well. I have nothing bad to say about it, and it's more than worth the $200 price tag.

There are also an assortment of attachments that you can get for it too. There are Food Grinder Attachments, Cheese Shredder Attachments, and the list goes on.

What I'm saying is that it's a quality product that any baker would want. We use the KitchenAid Mixer Wire Whip attachment to mix together butter and canola oil in order to create whipped butter. We just mix each part 50/50 to make real butter easily spreadable onto toast (Or whatever else you might use it for). It also helps us make our butter last twice as long, which is a huge benefit when you are trying to stay away from that nasty margarine.

And now, for the piece de resistance. The Vitamix...

Best Christmas Gift Ideas #5: The Vita-Mix TurboBlend 4500

The Vita-Mix TurboBlend 4500 is one of the best Christmas gifts ideas I can even think of. These things are magical!

If you've never heard of Vitamix before, they're a world famous blender company that has been around since the 1930's.

They easily make the best blenders in the world, and that is no exaggeration. I once had soup from a Vitamix that we heated in the vitamix. Just the friction that this thing created was enough to make piping-hot soup in under 10 minutes.

Mind you, if you are making smoothies or ice cream with it, it's not going to heat it up (Because you aren't going to leave it in there for 10 minutes, right?)

My brothers' in-laws bought him and his wife one for Christmas (they were down in November, so they got it for them early). You can't believe how ecstatic they were about it.

Have you ever been to...Starbucks? Booster Juice? Java Hut?

All of these companies use Vitamix blenders. They simply are the best. They are to blending what Bose is to home audio.

Nothing else compares.

They used to cost upwards of $600-800. Seem high for a blender? Not for what they do. You can make pretty much anything in them, and they are a vital element to living a healthy diet.

Most people who are into sugar-free or Vegan or Vegetarian diets are familiar with Vitamix blenders (many of them own them). They just make things so much easier!

Don't bother paying $800 for one though. I've found a model on Amazon.com for less than $400.

Now isn't that a little Christmas miracle all in itself…

Erythritol is a great substitute for sugar, although it is only about 65% as sweet as sugar, so you'll need to use more of it in order to properly bake with it.
