Sugar Free Almond Tea Cookies - Your Guests Won't Believe It's Not Sugar!

These 36 sugar free almond tea cookies are bound to impress any guests you have over. They won't believe it's not sugar!

Allergy Information:

Sugar-Free

Peanut-Free (Contains Almonds though...obviously)

Dairy-Free

Soy-Free



The Recipe:

  • 1/8 of a teaspoon of Stevia Organic Extract Powder
  • 1 cup of butter flavor vegetable shortening
  • 2 tablespoons of almond milk
  • 1 teaspoon of almond extract
  • 1 and 2/3 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 2/3 of a cup of chopped slivered almonds
  • 1/4 of a teaspoon of salt



Instructions:

1.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2.

Cream the Crisco, almond milk, and almond extract in a large bowl at medium speed until well blended.

3.

Beat in the Stevia.

4.

Combine flour, almonds and salt. Mix into creamed mixture.

5.

Shape dough into balls using one tablespoon for each ball. Place 2 inches apart on an ungreased baking sheet.

6.

Bake at 350 for 10 to 12 minutes. ( Cookies will not brown because of the Stevia. Take extra care not to over-bake them. ) Remove from oven and put it on a cooling rack for a few minutes.

7.

Mix a pinch of Stevia with some water, pour over top of the cookies as a glaze.
