My name is Andrew Muller, and I'm the guy who writes all the stuff on this website.
That includes all the recipes, articles, and that genius flare of personality you all get to experience while finding your favorite sugar free foods.
Why Sugar Free?
When I was in Grade 6 (12 Years old) I came down with Appendicitis, as well as an extremely painful bowel disease. My body was put out of commission for a good month and I had a major surgery.
Since that time, my body has slowly deteriorated into...well...a fairly awful state.
By the time Grade 10 hit, I was sick almost all the time. I suffered from awful bloating, Diarrhea, and my stomach hurt almost everyday.
I finally decided to do some research into it, and eventually self-diagnosed myself with lactose-intolerance.
When I took the milk out of my diet, my health improved dramatically. I was actually doing quite fine...
...for a month or two.
And then my health started to drop back down again. I got sick, and started looking for other things to take out of my diet.
I found another thing, and took it out of my diet. A month or two later my health got worse...and on...and on...and on...
This continually has happened to me over the past 3 years. I finally got 3 separate allergy tests done on me, and I now have a list of over 30 allergies. There include:
Corn
Beef
Milk
Apple
Banana
Orange
String Beans
Wax Beans
Potato
Grapes
Cheese
Mushrooms
Dried Fruit
Vinegar
Alcohol
Tuna
Coffee
Tea
Pumpkin
Tomato
Zuchini
Rye
Coconut
Grapefruit
Honeydew
Raspberries
Rhubarb
Sugar (Brown)
Sugar (White)
Cantaloupe
Now some of these things I am greatly allergic to (like Milk, Sugar, Corn) and some I'm not so allergic to (Like Tea or Tomato's), but they all have some sort of effect on me.
So you can see that eating in general is a difficult thing for me.
And that's why I started this site.
Why I Started This Site...
I started this site for two reasons:
To teach myself about all the different foods that I can eat.
To share the knowledge I have gained so far with other people in the world who need it.
In reality, I'm lazy. I needed something to motivate me to learn and make new recipes.
This wasn't my first site though. I had already created a website called therealmusician.com based on my passion for music.
I was able to create that website, as well as this one using an online e-business program called SBI!
SBI! gave me the motivation, attitude, skills, tools, and guidance required to build a site like this. Being involved with SBI! has been a huge (and fulfilling) journey for me; a journey that you can learn more about here.
My Band
Music is my number 2 lifelong passion (Next to my relationship with God), and I plan to do it forever.
I have been blessed a hundred times over by being able to record music with my band, "A Human Nothing".
We started writing music in September of 2009, and have played together for a year previous to that (Just covers though).
I love writing and recording with them, and talking about philosophy and psychology, and just being able to explore myself as an individual and find out what makes me tick.
We radically go through member changes, and I seem to be the only original member of the band left, but I'm not too discouraged by that. I'll just keep plugging away at music (And with all the technology we have now, I really can write the music myself without other people if I have to).
I've only just graduated from high school in June of 2009, so it's "That Year" where you are finding out what you are going to do with your life, what job will you have (Or will you be self-employed) and all those stressful thoughts.
But I'm thundering through it as best as I can, and trying to keep a positive outlook on it all!
And definitely still remember to record music with guys whenever I can (And seeing awesome concerts).
Some other Endeavors
Along the subject of music, I already mentioned that I run TheRealMusician.com, and try to update it whenever I can.
I also enjoy video games here and there (Final Fantasy VII is one of my favorite games of all time, along with anything Half-life Related), and I also have just discovered my passion for anime (Mainly Studio Ghibli films, and Dragonball Z).
So essentially, I'm a bit of nerd, who also loves the guitar...which is kind of the antithesis of Anime. That makes me a certainly strange and eccentric character if you were to ever run into me on the street.
But no worries, you probably don't live anywhere near me anyways ;)

My Journey
All websites are created for a purpose, and although I want to help as many people as possible live healthy, sugar free lifestyles, this website also helps benefit me mentally, spiritually, and economically.
If you're like me and have knowledge or experience that others would want, I can't speak highly enough about SBI!. It's allowed me to bake my passion for sugar-free recipes into an income-generating part-time hobby. Here's how I did it.
I hope my story can also be some sort of inspiration for you!
Itching To Share Your Recipes?
Did you know I've added a useful new function on my site where you can now submit your own recipes for other sugar-free fanatics to use?
Simply scroll to the bottom of any recipe selection page (for example, the Desserts Page, and you can share you recipe there.
Your recipe will then be made into it's very own web page where you can show your friends and family all your recipes.
Plus you'll be improving the lives of many other sugar-free-for-life'ers out there.
Making a difference in the way the world treats sugar starts here and now!
Natural Sugar Substitute Of The Month: Erythritol
Erythritol is a great substitute for sugar, although it is only about 65% as sweet as sugar, so you'll need to use more of it in order to properly bake with it.
